Upcoming Distance Learning
The North Sea Basin still presents many opportunities for major companies, smaller operators and new entrants alike. Companies often ask how long it takes for a geoscientist to become proficient in a particular basin or play? These courses can fast track familiarity with North Sea plays, basins and the key fields. The portfolio comprises a distinct series, covering whole basin, area specific and reservoir specific overviews designed independently, to be delivered over a single day, or linked to suit clients either in-house, in the classroom or by distance learning.

Key Learning Outcomes
To bring individuals and teams up to speed and fast-track the knowledge-sharing process regarding North Sea reservoirs.

Although the play-based courses are named by reservoir age, the courses also summarise source, seal, trap and timing aspects of the wider petroleum system.
-
The extent of the proven play areas are revealed and likely failure criteria shared for more challenged play areas.
-
To gain familiarity with the key oil fields and development and production challenges.

North Sea Reservoir Series - Play Specific Overviews in 1 Day
North Sea Field Trip Series
A series of short field courses that include classic ‘must see’ localities for anyone working the North Sea. The courses are aimed at energy professionals with some experience of subsurface projects and will be particularly beneficial for multi-disciplinary teams. New graduates will see UK outcrops from an applied perspective and experienced interpreters, in need of a modern field experience to refresh their knowledge of the North Sea, would also benefit.
